Oekaki Puzzle Battle!

Oekaki Puzzle Battle! The title says it all... Or, for those who don't understand yet, Sunrise is working on a robot-version of Mario Picross.

Where sudoku puzzles are the next best thing to do nowadays, Oekaki Puzzle Battle! Yûsha-Ô Gaogaigar Hen takes on one of the other favorite puzzle sensations from Japan during the last decade: picross or 'Japanese puzzles'. In the past, Nintendo already picked up the very same concept on the Super Nintendo and GameBoy with Mario Picross.

This time developer Sunrise tries to cash in on the still very favorite puzzles where sequences of numbers can be used to determine a series of black squares which, in turn, define a picture.

The first screenshots of the Nintendo DS title Oekaki Puzzle Battle! Yûsha-Ô Gaogaigar Hen already reveal that the game will also feature larger images than the screen can represent. By combining the outcomes of different puzzles, a larger image can be revealed.
