ALL Japanese Hardware Charts for 9/12 - 9/18 - Introducing Gameboy Micro!

Lots of things happened this week. PSP got a new colour, a few highly anticipated games, Gameboy Micro hit the shelves and the PSP sill didn't sell as much as the NDS.

1. GBM 170,306 2. NDS 72,167 3. PSP 70,152 4. PS2 24,396 5. GBA SP 11,147 6. GCN 1,882 7. GBA 624 8. XBOX 109

Despite the new Ceramic White PSP, and Winning Eleven 9 for PSP. DS managed to topple the charts thanks to an unexpected success from Tamagotchi which sold 150,000 units according to this weeks software charts. The new GameBoy Micro sold through the roofs.

In a bit more interesting news about Nintendo's handheld rival, it seems that the PSP's new model sold a bit more then 45,000 units this week which leaves the old model at it's usual ~20,000-25,000. Makes one wonder how much Winning Eleven 9 and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children would have effected this weeks charts if the new PSP did not launch along-side them.

  • errrrrrrrrrrrr......... gbm is just a dingleberry of crap. How did it manage to sell twice as much as ds's? Global Warming has to be the only reasonable explanation.

  • I'll edit it to put in the more accurate numbers.

  • A dingleberry of crap? Apparently the 170,306 people who bought them don't think so...

  • Thanks jj984jj. GBM looks nice, and the Famicom colour really got the sales.
