New GBA SP?
According to rumours on the web, Nintendo has developed a new iteration of the GBA SP.
On the Gaming Age Forums, various users working in the retailing sector are reporting that Nintendo is shipping new versions of the GameBoy Advance SP. This time, the GBA SP receives a backlit screen.
The rumour is strenghtened by the rather dodgy looking photo:"We got in them at work today and I saw the front which mentioned 'new BRIGHTER backlit screen!' backlit, huh...of course Nintendo always said 'side-lighted' so I was suspicious. Since the Micro wasn't going to be out for another week and I had the money, I bought the Graphite, turned it on in the car and sure enough the ******'s backlit. What was once the 'light on/off' button in the middle now just switches between two brightless levels a la the PSP's brightness button."

Why Nintendo never announced the new iteration remains unknown, but we suspect that Nintendo did not want to cannibalize on the GB Micro sales.

wow, thats inded pretty sweet, but kinda late i suppose.
Well, the graphite and pearl blue colors are new in the US, so why not pack them with a brighter screen?
very unnecessary
I loved the trailer... reminded me of old SNES RPG's.
Woah, wrong story lol Carry on...
Oh man... don't the have ENOUGH GBA's? Lets see, GBA, GBA SP, GBA Micro, and GBA SP with a better backlight! Give it up Nintendo! why would someone sacrifice 100$ when for 30$ more the could get a DS!
Actually, it's about $50 dollars more since the GBA SP is $79.99...
I figured they would make it smaller, but oh well.
they just added the backlight, not release a new product... just like the IPod generations, the IPod mini has like 2 generations, yet they both looks the same and cost the same initally, only enhancements were made to them... its basically giving you more for your money... i dun see what so crazy.
is this real?
yes, it has also been confirmed by gba.ign.com
