DS hits 3 million benchmark in Japan
As weekly hardware sales for 8/22 - 8/28 roll in, the DS hits a new benchmark in Japan.
Weekly hardware charts released this week show that the DS has finally sold over 3 million in Japan after 8 months. But that wasn't all, it seems the DS has also finally surpassed what it sold in it's first 5 weeks of 2004 (1,495,596). And with the games coming out in the near future, I don't think the DS's sales will start to slow down just yet.
Here are this weeks hardware charts:
DS - 57,313 PS2 - 27,161 PSP - 20,322 GBASP - 11,144 GC - 2,586 GBA - 652 Xbox - 130
YTD / LTD DS - 1,520,298 / 3,015,894 PSP - 1,170,476 / 1,652,728 DS Lead - 349,822 / 1,363,166

i own a psp, and i like it for its media features, but thats it, i wouldnt of gotten it if i didnt have a job, but its sorta neat. Still ds games > psp. But anyways, i know japan is smaller than US. But they love thier games like we love alcohol, i wanted to know which has sold more ds's, US or Japan?
