Splinter Cell - The Movie
That's right, a movie of a game has been announced. Let's see if we get a game from a movie this time, wow, confusing.
Originally the project of Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks Studios, the people who brought you Shrek, War of the Worlds, and most recently, The Island, is trying to acquire the rights to one of our favorite stealth games since the invention of the genre, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. If the project is moved to its new producer, Clancy's producer, Michael Ovitz, will still be a part of the project.
Daniel Pyne, writer of The Sum of All Fears and The Manchurian Candidate, is planned to write the script for the film. Executive producers of the film will include Tom Clancy and Yves Guillemot, the chief publisher for Ubisoft, both of which are well versed in everything Splinter Cell.
Stay tuned for more details.

A movie has been announced ever since the release of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Go play it and select 'Movie Trailer', it doesn't show much. But it's on there.
