GBA FFT screens

6 new screens. They're inside, along with some information on the game.

Square's best according to most gamers: Final Fantasy. The GBA gets its own version: Final Fantasy Tactics.

The races:

  • Humans - The basic race
  • Viera - Black race with bat-wings. Nightpeople
  • Nu Mou - Traders
  • Bangaa - Specialised on fighting
  • Morgle - Evil wizards, use black magic

FFT will use 3 systems: Judgement, Clan and Region Create System

The Judgement System will decide who wins a battle (using chances). This means you will face some battles you'll lose, although you may have been stronger. On the other hand, it might help you raise skills faster than using the normal system.

The Clan System is another story. Using this system will allow you to join clans, or even create your own. Try to talk people into joining your clan and become famous...

And then there's the Region Create System: create your own World Map. This means no predecided roads you'll have to follow. Choose your own way to victory.

That's not it. You can't base a game on that...
Square realises this, so they give you the Job System as well. Each time your character performs an action (attacks, defends, etc), he (or she) gains experience points AND job points. These Job Points can be used to 'buy' abilities, but only those which are somehow connected to your characters job.
Example: you'll start the game as a squire. After a few battles, your squire will ascend to unlock several other jobs. Knights, ninja's, archers, summoners, priests and about 40 other jobs are available for your people.

Using your character, you'll have to fight your way through 300 (!) different missions. Talking about gameplay...

The Japanese releasedate for FFT is February 14th 2003. US and European releases are expected some months later (Spring 2003)
