DS Winning Against PSP
According to the Japanese people it is. Read the full story to find out more.
Recently Otanafami magazine ran a survey about which handheld was best. They interviewed one thousand people above twenty years of age and the results are as follows. 14% had a PSP, 25% say they own a DS, and 19% say they own both. Then 31% said they want a PSP, 35% want a DS, 19% say they want both, and 15% say they want neither. Next they went onto the topics of games. Below is the chart on how many games they owned.
Sony PSP: None: 2% One: 27% Two: 24% Three: 12% Four: 6% Five: 9% Six or more: 10%
Nintendo DS: None: 2% One: 16% Two: 20% Three: 19% Four: 12% Five: 8% Six or more: 23%
Even though many believed that people who owned a DS didn't own as many games as PSP owners this seems to prove them wrong. They also touched on the amount of game sales.
Sony PSP: Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee: 350,000 units Ridge Racers: 260,000 units Dynasty Warriors: 260,000 units Tales of Eternia: 170,000 units Metal Gear Acid: 110,000 units
Nintendo DS: WarioWare: Touched! : 740,000 units Super Mario 64 DS : 710,000 units Nintendogs: 400,000 units Pokon Dash: 320,000 units Kirby: Canvas Curse: 190,000 units
The DS so far has three games that have outsold the the PSP's top seller. And without a doubt that numer will climb to five when Animal Crossing and Mario Kart are released. I was surprised personally at how much better the DS was doing. It would be interesting if somebody could do a survey in America next.

Sony challenged Ninendo in a battle of the handhelds, and Sony lost. They should just quit while it??s just starting to get embarrassing. Concentrate their fund on PS3 instead fighting a losing battle against Nintendo.
Wow, Pokemon Dash almost beat every PSP game sale!
The PSP really needs more quality games
this is bound to shut up sony fanboys
To be fair, PSP concentrate their sales in movies rather than games. So unless the movie sales record has been made public as well, this is not a real competition.
Geez. I remember from December-March all these magazines and publications kept acting like PSP was the second coming of Christ and that DS was doomed to the core. Will people ever learn? Nintendo owns the handheld market and they always will.
In Sony's defence, the DS has been out for quite a while longer than the PSP.
You have to remember this is in Japan where the DS has only been out ten days longer.
Still i love my PSP more then my DS!
Apparently, you're one of few...
