Animal Crossing DS - Renewed Releasedate?

It was a simple misprint in the latest Nintendo Power, but now there are new rumours based on the story...

Recently, the latest edition of Nintendo Power showed a possible releasedate for Animal Crossing DS being July 2005 already. The date was in conflict with the TBD-reference on NOA's press extranet and appeared to be a misprint. Now Nintendo Power's forums bring in a new rumour:

On the forum, a small message was posted:

According to NOA_MAC this month's announcement in Nintendo Power magazine that AC DS will be released in July is a misprint. He says the date he knows of estimates an October release."

Whether this message can be trusted or not remains unknown for now, but at least it keeps us all busy.

  H*ll yes! Did you ever play Animal Crossing for GC? There was an interesting debate I was reading: when people wanted ACDS to come out. A good point was made. The later they release it, the more time they'll have to fine tune it. Plus, it took about 6 months to translate the Japanese AC to English, so they might just need the time!

  i think the only reason i WAS going to but it was for the online feature...now that Mario Kart is online(OMG!!!)i don't think i might buy this, unless i get more money that is =)

  If a Nintendo of American said it would be released sometime around October, I would expect it to be so. I mean, he works at NOA, so he would know better than we would.

  darnit i want a DS again someone stole mine cuz they knew it was good ;] i want this game more than anything on the PSP

  Maybe there is a genuine confusion, due to Nintendo still tinkering with the release of their WiFi network. Maybe there is a conflicting debate on exactly when DS should go online.
