Fifa 2006 DS Bound

Well surprise: EA might be bringing Fifa 2006 World Cup to the Nintendo DS.

Our Dutch colleagues from DS-Gamer.nl found out that Electronic Arts might be bringing Fifa 2006 World Cup to the Nintendo DS. Where we do not even dare questioning this statement (after all, the GBA got its editions of Fifa as well), DS-Gamer went to search for some evidence... and found some...

Their findings at a Dutch distributor showed that the game is currently scheduled for a release on December 31, 2005. Of course, this is very, VERY likely just a placeholder-date.

Until EA officially announces the game, we can only hope for online features and a worthy competitor for Konami's World Soccer Winning Eleven, a title that has been confirmed to use Nintendo WiFi Connection.
