E3: Intellivision Lives

Intellivision Productions Inc. revealed they are developing a new Intellivision Lives game collection for the Nintendo DS.

The company feels that the Nintendo DS is the only current system that can truly emulate the control scheme of the original Intellivision game system. The controllers for this system contained a keypad, and every game came with an overlay. So in effect, each game almost had a custom button layout. This is why Keith Robinson feels the Nintendo DS touch screen would make the perfect controller.

Intellivision Productions are still looking for a publisher, but with such a novel use of the platform, it is almost a guarantee.
