ALL Turok DS - A possibility

Well many of you assumed Turok is dead (technically he is) since Acclaim went bye-bye, but Buena Vista has snapped up the license.

Buena Vista Games announced Friday it has nabbed video game rights to the Turok franchise. In an agreement with Classic Media, Buena Vista will publish new Turok games for handhelds and consoles, including the next generation of hardware. Buena Vista Games' new studio, Propaganda Games, will handle development.

"Through compelling new technology, game design and graphics, it is our goal to take the Turok franchise to new heights," said Josh Holmes, vice president and studio general manager for Propaganda Games. "The brand's rich, prehistoric setting and ferocious monsters provide us an extensive palette of content to create the most intense, action-packed game play for next generation console systems."

Matthew H. Murphy's Turok first appeared in comic books in 1954. Most gamers, of course, know the dinosaur-hunting property from its game debut on the Nintendo 64 and from the series of first-person action titles which followed.

We have been confirmed it will be on handhelds. Which ones remain to seen, but theres a good chance we will see it on the DS.
