NDS The Sims 2 Heading For Handhelds

IGN had an exclusive interview with Electronics Arts/Maxis. The result? Revealing The Sims 2 for both the GBA and Nintendo DS, but this time it's two different games...

This might be the news many DS gamers have been waiting for. Where the DS version of The Urbz was simply an upgraded GBA game, Griptonite is now working on two different versions of The Sims 2: one GBA game, and one version specifically made for the Nintendo DS.

Now the main difference should be clear by simply following the next two links and comparing the images:IGN's DS interview, andIGN's GBA interview As can be seen, the Nintendo DS will feature 3D graphics that many gamers were hoping to see in the previous Sims-game (The Urbz). Apart from the 3D graphics and other Nintendo DS-specific features (microphone-usage, touchscreen control, real-time clock), EA is also looking into the possibilities of adapting Nintendo's upcoming wi-fi network to connect players all over the world.
