NDS European DS Releasedates

Nintendo of Europe spilled the beans on a few Nintendo DS games and their release dates.

Today, Nintendo of Europe has released tiny snippits of information (nothing we didn't know already though) on Nintendo DS games and also gave a rough estimation on their arrival in the shops across Europe.

Yoshi Touch & Go (May, 6) Making full use of the Nintendo DS' Touch Screen, dual-screens and Stylus, Yoshi Touch & Go combines old-school playability with new-school technology. First, you must protect the falling Baby Mario by drawing clouds on the Touch Screen to guide his descent and stop enemies from popping his balloons. Land safely and Yoshi takes over. Tap the screen to spit eggs at enemies, draw bridges to carry Yoshi across gaps and sketch bubbles to trap enemies. Fun, frantic gameplay abounds, with captivating ?just one more go? playability that will keep you coming back for more.

Need for Speed Underground 2 (May, 27) The hit urban racing series screeches onto Nintendo DS with slick 3D graphics and exclusive Touch Screen features. Customise your car and throw out the racing rulebook as you burn rubber in intense underground street races. The touch-sensitive screen doubles as a GPS (Global Positioning System) and a nitro boost control. You can also draw your own decals with which to personalise your ride! Need for Speed Underground 2 for Nintendo DS also features a four-player wireless head-to-head mode.

GoldenEye: Rogue Agent (May, 27) If you?ve played the Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt demo that comes with Nintendo DS, you?ll already know how perfectly first-person shooters work on the system, thanks to precise analogue control with the Touch Screen and Stylus. So it?s no surprise that EA is bringing its 2004 GameCube smash GoldenEye: Rogue Agent to Nintendo DS, complete with wireless multiplayer action for up to eight players. Excited? You ought to be?

Pac-Pix (Quarter 2) Pac-Man is trapped in a world made of paper, and only you and your magic pen can guide him to freedom! Draw a Pac-Man on the Touch Screen using your Stylus and he will come to life. Then write lines to direct him towards items and gobble up those pesky Ghosts. Later levels see you swiftly sketching bombs to blow away walls and scribbling arrows to fire at wayward spooks on the top screen. With 60 intense levels and 10 tricky boss battles, PAC-PIX will definitely ?draw? you in!

Castlevania DS (Autumn) From the team that brought you Aria of Sorrow comes a new chapter in the Castlevania saga. Set in the year 2036, Castlevania for Nintendo DS turns the Touch Screen into a ?Magic Seal? system that lets you capture enemies? magic by touching a series of symbols. Collecting the souls of fallen enemies also plays a major part in the game, and these can be traded with friends using the Nintendo DS? wireless connection, bestowing your character with increased abilities.

Nintendo of Europe also mentioned "upcoming greats like Mario Kart, Metroid Prime Hunters, Super Princess Peach, Nintendogs, Advance Wars DS and Harvest Moon"... All that in 2005...

However, there's also a rumour coming from France. Our colleagues at Puissance-Nintendo claim to have confirmation from Nintendo of Europe on the release of Another Code for the Nintendo DS. Yes, it is coming and to be precise it'll be available on June 24 already. We haven't seen or heard anything official on this rumour yet, but it sure sounds tempting...
