Konami Acquires Hudson

The majority of Hudson-shares now in the hands of Konami. Will we see a Solar Boy Bomberman soon?

Konami of Japan today announced that Hudson, the company behind Bomberman, will become a consolidated subsidiary of Konami. Hudson expects a large loss in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2005 and requested the assistance of Konami with the reorganization of the company. Konami accepted and decided to accept a third party allotment of 3.000.000 new shares of Hudson, leading to a property of 54% of all shares of Hudson.
