Goldeneye: Rogue Agent - Info & Screens
A big list filled with information on 00-agents. Oh, and five brand new screenshots of the game too...
Why save the world when you can rule it? GoldenEye: Rogue Agent goes where no previous James Bond game has dared to tread, giving you the chance to cross over to the dark side of the Bond universe to experience life as a ruthless and unpredictable villain.
As an aspiring 00 agent dismissed from MI6 for reckless brutality, you?re recruited by Auric Goldfinger in a ruthless war against Dr. No for control of the Bond underworld. A brutal encounter with Dr. No costs you an eye, but Goldfinger?s technicians replace it with a gold-hued, synthetic and upgradeable eye, earning you the name ?GoldenEye?.
Wreak havoc as you make your unrelenting rise through the ranks of villainy. Encounter such legendary Bond characters as Oddjob, Dr. No, Goldfinger, Scaramanga, and Xenia Onatopp on globe-spanning missions of vengeance and demolition. Experience new features and gameplay only made possible by the Nintendo DS.
Features:
- Your upgradeable synthetic eye introduces new methods of mayhem as you master an entirely new level of interaction beyond traditional FPS mechanics. With this persistent gadget, you can see enemies through cover using MRI vision, manipulate electronics and weapons using the EM Hack, deflect damage with the Magnetic Polarity Shield, and more.
- Unleash double the firepower when you use the dual-wield weapons system to fire guns in both hands.
- Go head-to-head with the most villainous of the Bond underworld using the robust melee fighting system. Take a hostage, throw your enemies, or knock them out with one punch.
- Outwit villainous rivals in wireless multiplayer mayhem with up to seven players. Featured modes include Showdown, Team Showdown, Domination, and Tug-Of-War.
- Engage in single-player campaigns divided into six missions where you fight against mini bosses in order to receive access to future missions.
- Access vital intelligence with the dual-screen HUD. Check ammunition levels, hack electronic devices and weapons, decode security locks, and more.
- Sharpen your lethal edge in the all-new ?Virtual Training? mode. Gain experience and earn valuable upgrades for your GoldenEye weaponry by defeating infamous Bond villains.
The game is currently scheduled for a US release in June 2005.

VERY nice graphics. Interested to see what it looks like in motion though.
Well it's on my wants list!
Yup, lets just hope they can improve the gameplay over their previous endeavors.
I never thought i would ever say this (after I goth my PSP): nice graphics!
how can the gameplay fail, with the FPS setup the DS has?
"how can the gameplay fail, with the FPS setup the DS has?" Possibly by not allowing touchpad controls for movement. I really hope I don't have to move a character in 3D environment with a digital Dpad.
Im hoping for a simular control setup as Metroid
this game should be interesting. If it doesn't have touchscreen movement like metroid prime hunters my interest in the game will be non-existant. However i don't think the developers would be so stupid to use the d-pad to aiming :P
Haleluja, it will feature touchscreen movement! Than again, any sane developer making a FPS on DS should include that feature. But than again, this is EA. ;) Anyway, gamerankings has a trailer up and running. See it at www.gametrailers.com.
Pesky "a"'s! Ruining the 15-minutes-of-fame of my "e"'s in al my "then"'s! ^_^
Hehe then I guess the next question is the manner in which touchpad controls are implemented.
Its a dumb metroid Prime whatever knockoff for the ds which is coming out about the same time.
