GBA Major Game From DC Studios

DC Studios announced a 'major game' for various platforms. Now what platform is the 'Nintendo GameBoy DS'?

Game developer DC Studios today announced a major multi-format development agreement between DC Studios and the European arm of games publisher Konami. Following on from the success of the Tour de France Centenary Edition title for the PlayStation 2, Konami has contracted DC Studios to produce a major multi-platform (PS2, PC and GBA) game for release in Q4 2005.

Mark Greenshields, CEO of DC Studios, commented "We are very happy to once again be working with one of the most respected publishers in the world on a major project. It will be great to work once again with Tony and his team. I am sure that this game will be a great success for all of us."

Tony Bickley, the European Development Manager of Konami Europe, said that "DC Studios have proven themselves in the past to be very reliable, delivering for us Quality product to budget and on time. I had no hesitation in commissioning them to take on a new strategic title for us."

But now for the fun part. The following piece of text originates from the original press release from DC Studios:

"The game, on PS2, PC and GBA, will be developed in DC Studios Montreal studio using the company's state of the art gaming toolkits which cover all major gaming platforms including the Sony PlayStation and PSP, PC, Microsoft Xbox, Nintendo Gamecube, Nintendo GameBoy Advance, Nintendo GameBoy DS and Zodiac Tapwave."

  • I kinda call the DS a gameboy to because in all regard it is exactly like the next gameboy after the gba. nintendo just insists on this DS thing to give it it's own market status and to make it a competitor of the psp.
