Gamers Helping Gamers
A new initiative in the gaming scene, worthy enough to grab your attention (well, at least we think it is)...
IDG Entertainment, the company behind GamePro magazine and the Best Buy game guides, launched a new service based on helping gamers. GamerHelp.com provides a multiplatform resource for gamers who want more information on the most popular and best-selling games, and offer help to those who seek assistance in beating them.
GamerHelp.com carries the tag "Gamers Helping Gamers", indicating they're supported primarily by member-submitted content. IDG Entertainment complements member-submitted content by contributing thousands of tested cheats and codes that are guaranteed to work. "We've designed the ultimate destination for gamers who want to be the best," explained Daniel Orum, president of IDG Entertainment.
To encourage submissions that are most useful to the gaming community, GamerHelp.com features a multilevel rewards program. The 'GamerHelp.com Rewards Program' offers prizes for the most sought-after FAQs and the FAQ ranked the highest by gamers (no doubt this'll involve an RPG FAQ), and a random monthly drawing among all eligible entries is also held. Members can earn up to ten $50 or $100 gift certificates from a major retailer each month.
The Nintendo DS is currently not yet featured on GamerHelp.com, but we're 100% it will be in the near future.
Don't forget that we review member-submitted content as well. Just click on the contact link above.
