NDS E-Tailers Announce DS Games

A whole lot of unannounced DS-games appeared on the listings of several e-tailers in the past week.

First store on our list is EBGames. EBGames, often early with listing games, updated its Nintendo DS listings with:Batman Begins DS - currently described as a 'sports' game, even though we highly doubt this to be correct. The game is on EBGames' listings for a release on June 17, 2005.Spyro DS - a platformer from 'Black Label Studios', which happens to be a subsidiary studio of Vivendi Universal. Currently set for a release on October 18, 2005.

Next stop: DVDBoxOffice. Apart from Jaws DS as we reported earlier this week, DVDBoxOffice added a few more games to its listings:Age of Empires - the popular RTS game on the Nintendo DS? According to DVDBoxOffice, Majesco is planning to publish the game and to release this certain blockbuster on October 26, 2005.Quad Desert Fury 2 - Quad racing from Majesco on August 17, 2005.Texas Hold Em - earlier announced for the GBA, will Majesco also bring this poker game to the Nintendo DS on October 5, 2005?

Then there's Mediaplay and Walmart. These stores started listing several games:Big Mutha Truckers - a mission-based driving game from Destination Software, set for a release on August 20, 2005.Ford Racing - yet another racer from Destination Software, set for a release on September 15, 2005.Snood 2: Lost In Snoodville - the Puzzle Bobble-like game, again from Destination Software. Currently on the schedule for July 15, 2005.Spyro's DS Adventure - described as a 3D-platformer from Vivendi Universal, set for a release on October 18, 2005.

So what do we have? We've got 3 stores listing Spyro for the DS using the very same releasedate. Spyro on the DS is very likely if we consider the success of the series on the GBA.

DVDBoxOffice joins the fun with four Majesco titles. However, as nice as this might seem, Majesco pointed out that they had three unannounced DS titles in development. A mistake by DVDBoxOffice, or was Majesco keeping a title from us?

None of the games mentioned above have been officially announced yet and should not be taken for granted until they are.
