NDS Harvest Moon: Harvest Sprites Station

Fans of A Wonderful Life, rejoice! New touchscreen details and images.

Harvest Moon: Harvest Sprites Station, the dual screen rendition of the popular farming sim, will be set in the same universe as its Gamecube predecessor, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. Recent scans in Famitsu magazine have revealed various uses of the touchscreen, as well as the game's world map - which, incidentally, is identical to the one in A Wonderful Life. In addition to interacting with animals, the touchscreen will also be used to interact with the map, as well as to organize menus and items. Tips and information from Harvest Sprites will also be displayed on the bottom screen as important events take place.

At the moment, the graphics of the game seem to more closely resemble those of the GBA rather than the N64. However, for a first generation title, it seems to be coming along rather nicely. As we reported earlier, the title will feature connectivity with Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, making this a must-buy for fans of the series.

As a reminder to Harvest Moon fans, an entirely new character in the Harvest Moon franchise was introduced in an earlier issue of Famitsu. She is supposedly known as the Harvest Witch, and will function as the counterpart of the Harvest Goddess from previous games in the series.

Jeux-France has also posted several images of the game in action. Veterans of A Wonderful Life should find the map and locations very familiar...

Harvest Moon: Harvest Sprites Station is currently set for a Japanese launch on March 17, 2005.
