Dynasty Warriors Advance?

Rumours appeared about a possible new GBA game: Dynasty Warriors.

Today, several rumours from various sources claim a new GBA game by Koei: Dynasty Warriors. Online reseller Rakuten started listing the game for a Japanese release on the 24th of April, 2005. German gaming-news provider Gamefront is claiming official confirmation from Koei with a release in March 2005. Contradicting stories with one common item: Dynasty Warrior for the Game Boy Advance.

In the past, Dynasty Warriors DS was rumoured to feature 2D gameplay, which makes it more likely to be a port of a possible GBA title with added features such as touchscreen control and wireless connectivity. Koei has not yet officially confirmed (nor denied) the rumours, but we'll keep you up to date.

  The teaser I have for Dynasty Warriors DS boasted some pretty slick CG for a game that's supposed to have 2D gameplay. In addition, Mr. Sugiyama has gone on the record saying that "The DS can't do the higher quality graphics, so the 3D models are pretty tough." I'd be highly dissapointed if one of my favorite franchises came to the DS missing its third dimension.
