More Manga On Japanese DS

A few new manga-based titles for the Nintendo DS are spotted in the land of the rising sun.

First of all, Bandai announced Beet the Vandel Buster for the Nintendo DS. Earlier in 2004, Bandai already announced a similar title for the Game Boy Advance. The Nintendo DS version is planned to be released in 2005.

The other manga-titles come from Nintendo themselves. Apparantly, Nintendo acquired the rights on Eye Shield 21, a manga series based on american football. Nintendo announced two games based on the license: a Nintendo DS version, and one for the GameCube.

Whether any of these games will ever be released outside of Asia remains unknown.
