The next wave of Duel Masters interactive entertainment is on its way as Atari and Wizards of the Coast, today announced Duel Masters: Showdown will find a home on the Game Boy Advance in March 2005. Duel Masters: Showdown, the highly anticipated sequel to Duel Masters: Sempai Legends, which shipped for GBA in October 2004, reunites fans with their favourite characters from the TV show as they battle in tournaments and embark on a mysterious mission in which the fate of the world is in jeopardy.

"Duel Masters has a committed fan following that has built up around the increasingly popular TV show", said Martin Spiess, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Atari Europe. "With the launch of the second Duel Masters title on Game Boy Advance, fans both old and new will be able to enjoy building and tweaking their decks, linking their handhelds together and battling it out to determine who will be the greatest Kaijudo master."

"Atari has taken the already popular Duel Masters trading card game and TV show and transformed those experiences into a highly enjoyable form of interactive entertainment," said Joe Hauck, vice president of Marketing, Wizards of the Coast. "Fans that loved the first Game Boy Advance title, Duel Masters: Sempai Legends, will get even more surprises with Showdown."

Developed by Mistic Software, who also created the first Game Boy Advance title, Showdown offers a story-driven experience in which the lead character must solve a sinister mystery to prevent the world from falling into chaos. Featuring interaction with characters from the TV show, the ability to build and fine-tune decks using 300 cards and creatures, and the chance to enter Shop Tournaments and win special booster packs, Duel Masters: Showdown has everything Duel Masters fans crave.

As a special bonus for Duel Masters fans, each boxed copy of the game will contain a booster pack of ten Duel Masters trading cards. Duel Masters: Showdown for the Game Boy Advance is scheduled for release across Europe in March 2005.
