Nintendo Raises DS Forecast To 4 Million
Nintendo is in for a big task: to sell 4 million Japanese Nintendo DS's before the end of March 2005.
According to CNet News, Nintendo has raised their forecasts on the Nintendo DS sales-figures to 4 million units in Japan alone before the end of March 2005. Originally the target was set to 1 million units, but after pre-ordering became impossible at the beginning of this month, Nintendo raises the target to 2 million dual-screens.
Now the recent pre-ordering figures made Nintendo decide to go for selling 3.5 to 4 million units in just 4 months, probably a great move since it is 'feared' that a shortage of Nintendo DS units will lead to a loss of consumers to the Sony PSP.
