It's rumour time, and it's a nice one this time... *Update* It's probably not involving a game...

It's rumour time, and it's a nice one this time...

There seems to be something going on between Nintendo and WWE. This time it all starts with the WWE website. At some point, the WWE website showed a page with two references to the Nintendo DS as can be seen in the image below.

First of all, we can see the word 'viDeoS' with a bold DS and further there's 'Steven RicharDS' with the same bold DS. Also, the D and S are written in a font similar to that of the official Nintendo DS logo. A coincidence? We think not...

What did we get when we clicked on the Richards-name? Not simply a profile of the wrestler, but a profile of the wrestler with a lot of DS's in bold.

Further investigation of the D and the S revealed that they're not simply bold letters. In fact, both characters are shown using images, which were hosted by the WWE website in a folder called '/images/sponsors/'. Now this raises the question: is Nintendo sponsoring the WWE to promote the upcoming Nintendo DS, or will the WWE-games be extended to the Nintendo DS? As soon as we find out, we'll let you know...

After the D and S pictures used, WWE showed a few popups advertising the Nintendo DS itself. Also, a banner appeared which is focussed on Nintendo of America's "Touching is good"-promotion.
