According to Nintendo-Evolved, certain people in close contact with Namco spoke about plans to port the Dreamcast version of SoulCalibur to the Nintendo DS platform. As their source claims, the NDS version will maintain the Dreamcasts' high-standing graphics due to lower screen resolutions and new compression techniques allowing to use smaller textures and less polygons for the character models.

Namco hasn't officially confirmed (nor denied) these rumours yet, but if Soul Calibur is indeed in development, the NDS will get a nice new title to withstand the PSP.
