Japan also drops SP price

After the recently 'leaked' news that Nintendo of America is planning a GBA SP price drop of 20%, Nintendo of Japan officially announced a price drop of their own as well. The current price of 12.500 yen will drop to that of 9.800 yen (-21.6%) on September 16, 2004.
