Despite previous statements of "the third Famicom Mini series will be the last", Nintendo stated that they are considering a fourth series after all.

Despite previous statements of "the third Famicom Mini series will be the last", Nintendo stated that they are considering a fourth series after all.

That's what Nintendo of Japan said to the Mainichi Newspaper. Even though Nintendo wanted to stop the series after the third batch, the sales figures (2.7 million copies sold) showed Nintendo that a fourth series might actually be worth the efforts.
