According to several Japanese sources, two upcoming Game Boy Advance titles (Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Games and Boktai 2: Solar Boy Djanko) will offer a feature to download additional game content. In Japan, over 1700 gamestores are so-called Joy-Spots. Here, GBA-gamers can use their wireless adapter to link up with other gamers connected to the Joy-Spot and enjoy wireless data distribution services that unlock new gameplay, characters, and features in games.

It remains unknown what Nintendo has in store for the US and European citizens, but it will probably end up with e-cards or hooking up your GBA during some promotional tour.
