Miiverse isn’t a Twitter or Facebook Application

Nintendo of Europe's Laurent Fisher spoke to GamesIndustry.biz about the two social services in relation to Miiverse.

The Miiverse goals is to attract people who are interested in video games. With Fischer explaining that the Wii U community attracts people with a strong common interest for video games with the service going to be a way to enhance the idea of sharing information relating to video games.

Continuing on Fischer mentioned that Nintendo has no plans for Twitter or Facebook on the Wii U. Citing Nintendo's policy to not offer services which are accessible on multiple devices; if everyone has these social networks on multiple devices, "what is our benefit to do so also?" asks Fischer.
