Each of the screens are programmable for 2D and 3D graphics. The 3D quality is said to be beautiful, comparable with the first Mario 64 images.

The Nintendo DS is also backwards compatible with GBA games.

A build in microphone works with voice recognition programs. YOUR voice together with the touchscreen will be the way to play your games.

Wireless connections over 100 meters. Instant chat, gaming, just imagine the possibilities. However, even if your friends are a looooooong distance away, it's possible to connect to them. The Nintendo DS is Wi-Fi compatible!

The DS will be released in 2004 in the US and Japan. Europe and Australia will get the DS in Q1 2005. The DS will not be the final name though.
