Rumour: 3DS XL around the corner?
Nikkei is doing it again: claiming a Nintendo announcement one day prior to the actual announcement. Or are they?
The Japanese newspaper Nikkei is once again claiming a reveal of new hardware one day prior to a Nintendo event. This time, the paper claims a redesign of the Nintendo 3DS.
The 3DS XL, or so we call it for now, is said to be approximately 1.5 times its regular size: featuring 4.3 inch screens. This HUGE version of the 3DS should hit the European, American and Japanese stores during Summer 2012 already, for a price of... hold on... not less than 30.000 yen (€ 300 or $ 380).
On a sidenote, Nikkei also claims to have obtained some new information about Wii U: non-game content such as car navigational software, ebooks and a karaoke service would become available on the Wii U GamePad.
Nikkei has proven in the past to use pretty trustworthy sources, as they're barely ever wrong about claims such as this one.
