Metro Wii U canned

Future Wii U owners will have one less game to look out for, as THQ claims Metro: Last Light is no longer set for Wii U.

Our colleagues from Digital Spy had an interview with THQ's global brand manager Mark Madsen. Madsen claimed that it would be "correct" to state that Metro: Last Light is no longer set for Wii U.

Last year, during E3 2011, THQ announced Metro: Last Light as one of the first games for Nintendo's upcoming new console Wii U alongside with PC, PlayStation 3 and XBox 360. Even though the Wii U version is no longer in development, the three other platforms are still sheduled for a release, says Madsen.

As for now, the book on Metro for Wii U is closed but, as Madsen continued, a port could still happen in the future.
