ETC GAME Saved!

High Street retailer GAME has been saved from extinsion thanks to an 11th Hour rescue from investment capital firm OpCapita. The deal will allow 333 shops to remain trading with some 3,100 jobs secured. Sadly this come a little too late for my freinds in Liverpool who are currently seeking out new employment as both city centre stores will remain closed.

  • I expect they invest in GAME in the hope GAME can be bought out by GameStop soon and make their money back.

  • I'm not sure why they purchased it but they must assume that they are going to make money from the deal.

  • I am guessing GAME is hoping GameStop can offer them the same deal that GameStop gave to EB Games. If that's indeed what they are waiting for then it would make sense for an investment firm to bail out GAME instead of GAME taking the loan offer from last week.
