First of all, Shiggy asked us:
Diddy Kong Pilot was in development by Rare (the same developer as Donkey Kong Country). However, things didn't go too swell between Nintendo and Rare and they decided to stop development for Nintendo. A few months later, it appeared that Rare was still developing for the GBA and that they've renamed Diddy Kong Pilot to Banjo Pilot. The game is still in development, though the tilt-function won't be included. It will be released somewhere in 2004 (no specific date set yet).Is Diddy Kong Pilot coming? If you look on the official Site of Nintendo Finland you can find this page. Diddy Kong Pilot comes on 6.12.2004!
The next question came from Fonzie:
Both games were announced in 2002 already by 7th Sense. After a while, it became quiet around these titles... Until March 2003. Suddenly 7th Sence said that the publishing deal with publisher Microids was off for both games. Like they said themselves: "Anyway, 7th Sense doesn?t own the rights on the two licenses but just those on the two games. The option to buy the licenses on the cartoons or movie instead of comics could be also considerable.". However, nothing was heard from these titles ever since. There was some news about the development of a Phantom: The Ghost Who Walks and Mandrake: The Magician for the GBA. Can you provide an update on the development of this game? Is this game still on?
