We informed you about the possible GBA2 yesterday, today, I bring you the first screen, and the info.

First of all, the new GBA will NOT be called GBA2 or anything, just GBA: Gameboy Advanced (with a D on the end). It'll be the upgraded version of the GBA.

The GBA will have a new design: two wings (known from various other controllers), a new button-layout (4 in total) and the afterburner...

Not the regular (by Triton Labs) Afterburner, but Nintendo's own. More energy will be needed, but Nintendo will also supply us gamers with the ultra-thin Lithium battery (more energy, longer gaming).

Two colors will be available on launch: Pear-green and Carrot-orange ('Gamers should live healthier...').

The release dates: Japan - End of 2002
US - March next year
Europe - No info yet (but insidegamer.nl claims to have spoken to an insider, and says 2005)

The rumours about more RAM, a new CPU and other technical advancements, were NOT mentioned...
