The man behind Kirby and Super smash Bros has resigned from his job at HAL Laboratory...
Masahiro Sakurai, the man who created Kirby and directed the successfull Smash Bros. series, has resigned from his job at Nintendo first party developer HAL Laboratory. In his weekly column in japanese magazine Famitsu, he added that he didn't leave because of poor work-relationships, nor does he want to move to another company. In the column, he also stated that "although Kirby will remain under the caring control of HAL Laboratory, he is uncertain about the future of Smash Bros at Nintendo".
In the meantime, Kirby-man will be taking up (light) freelance work until he finds something else suitable for his talents.
