The sixth issue of the mailbag, 4 questions today.

First one to write this week was Din:

Hi,

What do you think of Wario Ware? I'm thinking of getting it but I'm not sure because you can only play each mini game for 5 seconds. I think I would have been more convinced if the mini games lasted a bit longer.

Keep up the good work!!!

Hi Din! First of all, I must excuse myself. I have played Wario Ware, but I haven't got enough time nowadays to review all the games (that's why I'm asking the readers for their views). Wario Ware's concept of playing a game for 3 to 5 seconds seems rather short and annoying, but the truth is that it enhances the game. All games (about 200) are based on speed, timing and accuracy. If the games would last longer, both the speed and timing element would vanish. I can assure you, although the games seem odd and crappy, it's worth your money. I can also inform you, that you can unlock several other minigames in Wario Ware. These games (like Dr Mario and jumprope) can be played until almost eternity. You can also choose to play your favorite minigame, and continue doing so until you're totally sick of it.

I suggest you check out the screenshots, a movie and maybe the minisite.

Next one up is our regular writer einsk8:

hey mr dennis first of all I don't know if I must out this mail in submit news or not cause it's more like a news+question.

last week you told me that your more exited to get hands on need 4 speed: pu on gba instead of stuntman. I tried to find a screenshot of nfs but I didn't find one, so maybe you have one and if so could you please send it cause now i'm confused.

Well einsk8, I already send you an email about this, but I'm sure other people might be confused aswell. I can tell you that Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed is being developed by a company called Pocketeers. Pocketeers released a few images of the engine which is used for the game long ago. The actual game looks way better, but it gives you an idea of what you might expect. Four of those images can be found here. I've seen some of the early screenshots of the game itself (which weren't approved for publishing, so that's why they can't be found on the web) and they look absolutely fabulous. We'll have to wait a little longer (release in October 2003), but the screenshots will come!
Third question came from Paul:

Where did you find screens?

This is the first question about the site actually (congrats on that). All information and assets either originally come from developers/publishers. I actually got 3 ways to gain these assets:direct addressing the developers/publishers (mostly through email),developers/publishers' websites or extranets (some of them have special press-area's filled with info and screens), or...special press websites/forums. These collect material and publish it for their subscribers. I guess you wanted to know this because you want to start your own website? If so, good luck!

Last one for this week (came in today) is from Vincent de Graaf:When will the release be in europe of final fantasy for the game boy advance? And will the battles be real time or turn based?

greetings Vincent

p.s. sorry for the crappy englischHey there Vincent! There weren't that much errors in your letter, and luckily for you I'm also Dutch ;) Now about your questions: Final Fantasy Tactics is scheduled for October 2003 (September for USA). The game will be (just like Tactics Ogre) a turn-based strategy game.
