According to GamersMark, the Super FX chip (the 3D renderchip from SNES) will return in the GBA.

From GamersMark:

Recently 3 new portable systems has shown their ugly heads. The N-Gage, Helix, & PSP(PlayStation Portable). All swinging a flag with 3D on it. With the GBA out powered by all three whats the Boy to do? Well I've been hearing a recent buzz that Nintendo is working on a upgraded version of the Super FX chip for the Gameboy Advance. The SNES cart upgrage used to produce 3D graphics on the 2D only console. The same chipn that spawned the great Starfox. So the GBA just might still out class the competition.
