Shantae Coming to 3DS?

If you've been with the GameBoy for some years now you'll know that the original Shantae was on of the last great games for the GameBoy Color. The franchise missed the GBA but has recently been released for DSiWare to great fanfare. The developers have previously muted about the chances of a game, based on the character, coming to the 3DS but does this latest Facebook entry give more clues?

The entry itself is from yesterday and reads:

With Game Boy titles now being released on the 3DS eShop, we are frequently asked if we plan on bringing the original 'Shantae' to the service. We have nothing to confirm at this time, but we can say that we are actively pursuing the re-release of 'Shantae' on the 3DS Virtual Console. As soon as we have anything to report, we will let you know. Until then, keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages for future updates.
