CryEngine and Unreal Engine 3 on Wii U
From an interview between Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli and the guys from Develop, it becomes clear that the German developer Crytek is close to finishing their CryEngine for Wii U. At the same time, Epic Games has their Unreal Engine 3 running already.
Website Develop recently held an interview with Crytek's CEO Cevat Yerli. According to Yerli, Crytek is close to get their CryEngine running on Nintendo's next platform, the Wii U. However, the engine is not in a state yet to be shown to possible developers. "We aren't showing it but we are pretty much running it already," as Yerli claims in the interview.
In the meantime, Epic Games has revealed that their Unreal Engine 3 is already capable of running on Wii U. Mark Rein from Epic revealed that both Batman Arkham City and Aliens Colonial Marines will both run on the Unreal engine and will get a release on Wii U.
For gamers, the above means that you're in for quite some nice looking games.
