ALL Redspotgames wants to develop for Wii U

Developer redspotgames, known best for a few WiiWare titles, has notified us on their plans to develop for Wii U as well. In fact, the company will try to adjust all of their upcoming WiiWare releases to the Wii U - as far as it's possible.

redspotgames and Senile Team followed the announcement of the Nintendo Wii U carefully and are taken with the new Nintendo system. "All in all the Wii U seems to have a lot of strengths," says Roel van Mastbergen, developer-in-chief of the upcoming Rush Rush Rally Racing for WiiWare, "I hope I'll get a chance to work with it soon." The new input device was also praised, which gives developers a lot of freedom and "seems to be the most complete of any major game system to date."

Roel's brother and also Rush Rush Rally Racing initial concept developer and level editor Jeroen van Mastbergen sees improvements for developers and gamers alike: "The increased internal memory and SD and USB extentions should fix the Wii's memory issues completely," the co-founder of Senile Team says, "so that you can download more [WiiWare] titles without encountering [disk space] problems."

redspotgames, who will release Rush Rush Rally Racing within the next weeks on WiiWare and also covers the publishing, distribution and promotion, declares huge interest in adjusting upcoming WiiWare titles to the Wii U. "If there is the possibility, we are looking forward to make the games run on the Wii U as well." They are in daily contact with Nintendo to receive more detailed information concerning the system's details and architecture.
