Battle of the 3DS Racers

At launch, the 3DS had not one but two racing titles for gamers to choose from and we've spent some time with both to given our readers a full road test. The question is, who'll be first across the finish line in the Battle of the 3DS Racers?

Namco's Ridge Racer has been around since the glory days of arcade gaming but is this the racing title which will have your friends running out to buy a 3DS? You can see what Andrew thought in his full review here.

Gameloft's Asphalt series has shifted millions of units on just about every format imaginable but it's often critcised for being style over substance. Has this outing got a little more horsepower than the others? You can see what Chris thought here.

  I've never had headaches playing games ever, up to and after getting my 3DS. Playing Asphalt 3D for reviewing, however, gave me serious headaches both with the 3D on and when it was turned off. That unstable frame rate really did a number on my head. So yes, not a very enjoyable experience. Glad to see you've enjoyed Ridge Racer as much as I have though, Andrew. Some nearly nice 3D touches, like the leaves and confetti flying out of the screen or occasionally the helicopter.

  3D 3D 3D. It seems everything is X title 3D. And it enrages me. For me however I'm waiting for Mario Kart, heck I might pick up NFS or something later on. But yeah.

  Yeah Renegade is something I'm looking foward too as well. But it an Noir seem to be delay after delay- no real set time period anymore.
