3DS Nintendo plans Wi-Fi Hot Spots in America

Nintendo has announced during GDC Wi-Fi Hot Spot plans for America.

The company wants to make the wireless features of the Nintendo 3DS quite smooth and readability accessible. To do this, Nintendo has plans for Wi-Fi Hot Spots across America by partnering with AT&T.

The more then 10,000 existing AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spots across America will become free for 3DS owners. As well as accessible automatically with little setup.

Nintendo says that their aim is to get connected as easily as possible for everyone. With the SpotPass service playing a roll in this. If you have opted into the SpotPass Service, the 3DS will alert you about the AT&T Hot Spots in; restaurants, book stores, coffee shops and airports across the country.

The service doesn't go live until May. It is expected Nintendo will offer similar Wi-Fi Hot Spot deals in other countries. For example the Telstra deal Nintendo of Australia had for the original DS systems.
