3DS Blazblue Continuum Shift II - New Trailer

Arc System works have released a new trailer for their forthcoming fighter, Blazblue Continuum Shift II, which is set for release on the 3DS in Japan this March.

Taking a very different route to the 3DS' other fighters, Blazblue Continuum Shift II is a 2D fighter created with hand drawn graphics that, while looking fantastic on the home consoles, is sure to wow when it comes to the 3DS in Japan on March 31st. To show off exactly how the game will look, Arc System Works have released a trailer for the game showing off some of the new characters who will also be joining the already varied roster of fighters.

Details were also released on how the game will make use of the dual screens, with the bottom screen showing command lists, controls, and various stats depending on what mode you are playing. Similarly, the game will also include the Blazblue Phase 0 Prologue mini comic for those looking for a bit of background on the characters.

The game is currently down for a release in Japan on March 31st, with no release date being given for either the North American or European markets. Previous games in the series have taken their time to come over to those markets so it could be a bit of a wait but we'll bring you news on a release date as soon as it becomes available.

  • To say I'm excited for this would be an understatement. I really hope that they're quick with the localisation as I'd rather play this than SSF IV or Dead or Alive Dimensions because the Blazblue games are fantastic fighters and probably the best this generation.
