ETC THQ rebrands and continues pricing strategy

THQ has revealed a new logo along side their rebrand. Along with the rebrand they have revealed their plans for continuing their new experimental pricing strategy.

During their relaunch conference they have revealed a new logo for the company. Danny Bilson told press at the event that new logo "stands for quality".

The new logo will be rolled out over the next few months and titles released in February onwards will have the new branding.

In America the MX vs. ATV series is priced using a new THQ pricing strategy of lowering the price point. The latest entry in the series launched at a RRP of $39.99 (25) in America.

The goal of this new pricing strategy is to lower the price to create a larger install base and then capitalize on the install base with DLC.

During the rebranding conference, they have told press that they will continue the branding strategy with another series. However it was an unofficial announcement but with the companies president Brian Farrell previously saying that the high price point in America "keeps gamers out", its definitely possible that the company will continue down this route.
