3DS Nintendo 3DS Battery Life Revealed

During Nintendo World 2011, the Nintendo 3DS Battery Life has been revealed by a specification sheet update published on Nintendo of Japan's website during the event.

Gamers will be pleased to know that the 3DS will only take 3.5 hours to charge. Which is in line with the more resent Nintendo DS revisions.

However there might be some disappointment with the battery life. Nintendo has published in the specification sheet that it will be about 3-5 hours of 3DS time. With Nintendo DS titles been 5 - 8 hours.

This news shouldn't be met with much disappointment, however it seems that it will be slightly close to what gamers expect out of a DSi. We want to remind you that Nintendo lists on their Japanese site that the DSi has similar few hours listed as battery time.

We expect that is time is based around when the 3DS is at 100% on every little thing. Which means turning down the brightness, Wifi or even 3D, should give you heaps more time to play those great games coming out.

  • Same autonomy as PSP, but the 3DS will not waste energy in the disc spinning/reading, so this means that the stereoscopic 3-D graphic on the 3DS is more demanding than the polygonal graphic on PSP.
