Super Meatboy WiiWare Canceled
Super Meatboy was originally announced as a WiiWare title. But the developer ended up putting it out on other platforms, such as Xbox Live and Steam. But now it seems the developer has canceled the WiiWare iteration of the game.
The project was originally put on hold after the developer started working on the Xbox Live edition. Which was developed in HD and ended up going over the required amount of space (40mb) for a WiiWare port.
Speaking from their Twitter Page, Team Meat developers of Super Meatboy have announced that the WiiWare version is no more.
The developer did mention the possibility of a retail release for Super Meatboy on the Wii. But publishers are uninterested in investing in such a risky adventure of releasing a downloadable title as a retail one.

I picked it up on the Steam Sale when it was only a few bucks. I don't like it- but I don't hate it.
Indeed. Ended up getting it on the 360 a few months back and it's fantastic. Really annoyed, though, that a game which was announced first as a WiiWare exclusive then went on to be delayed and lose exclusivity only for the game to be cancelled for the service.
A real shame, this is a great game.
