Konami plans new Layton Clone for 3DS

Konami is set to continue their desire to cash in on the success of Layton by working on a new clone for the 3DS. Titled Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights.

After their Nintendo DS title Zack and Ombra's Amusement Park of Illusion, Konami still seems to want to make more simular titles to Layton. Announcing a brand new one which will hit the 3DS called Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights.

The game has a simular visual style to Professor Layton, and the main protagonist even has a top hat. But the video game has differences in gameplay, with it set around archeology.

Doctor Lautrec has a young compaion named Sophie. Who go on an adventure, Famitsu mentions four primary areas of the game: events, battle, exploration and conversation.
