Yesterday they had an interview with Perry Kaplan, today they put one up with Shigeru Miyamoto. The man is getting a busy life: new idea's and game-info...
First of all, Miyamoto pointed out the idea of taking pictures with your GBA and use them as models in GameCube games didn't work out (yet). They've succeeded in transferring the pictures and placing them onto models on the GameCube and make them do things, but 'we just can't seem to find a way to turn it into a product'...
Miyamoto also pointed out that he never said Metal Gear Solid was coming to the GBA. He mentioned MGS for the Cube, also mentioned plans with EA for linkup games and he talked about Hideo Kojima's game (My Sun/Boktai). Somehow it all got mixed up by Newtechnix... (too bad)
More about GBA-GameCube connectivity: Shigsy stated that 70% to 80% of all first-party releases in 2003 will feature some way of linkup options.
Since Rare and Nintendo have parted ways, Donkey Kong games seemed unreachable. Miyamoto: 'I don't know if I can say this, but we are working on a Donkey Kong game...' Seems like we'll be getting a nice new Donkey Kong game!
