iPhone Smash Hit Angry Birds Coming To DS

After garnering huge sales on the iPhone and iPad, developers Chillingo have stated they'll be bringing Angry Birds to the DS.

In a recent interview with The Sun newspaper, which you can read by clicking here, co-founder of Chillingo Joe Wee discussed how after initially slow sales, the tantalisingly priced title has gone on to garner over 2 Million in sales.

Speaking on the success of the game, Wee believes it could sell even more and added the following comment: "We are also releasing it on Nintendo DS, Sony PSP and PS3," confirming that the game will arrive in some form on Nintendo's current handheld platform.

Whether that involves a full retail release or a DSiWare one is unknown yet but stay tuned to DS-x2 for more news on the Boom Blox-esque title coming to the DS in the coming weeks.

  Yeh, I've heard good things about it, mainly from the guys at GoNintendo. Seems to have stuff in common with Boom Blox so providing it's a retail release then it's definitely something I'd like to check out. Big fan of the Boom Blox games.
